John traces the roots of his passion for photography to the nights he spent with his father in a homegrown darkroom, developing beautiful black and white images under the low orange glow of a photo-safe lamp. John’s joy for telling stories with photos permeates his work to this day. His favorite images are found in ordinary places, but transformed by narrative, nuance, and whimsy.
Jeff is a San Francisco-based photographer specializing in evocative images captured during his extensive travels in Europe, Asia, and Africa. His photos reflect his passions for architecture, design, and history driven by a desire to examine the intertwining of these layers as a part of our shared cultural identities. Jeff’s work reveals the mysteries found in quiet scenes, breaths life into ancient structures, and evokes a sense of wonder at the world around us. His photos are often caught while randomly wondering with a camera at his side and keen eye as his guide.
Jeff and John have lived in San Francisco for 10+ years. They both share a passion for travel and photography, and that passion has led to a very successful partnership of inspiration and collaboration. For several years, they have participated with the San Francisco-based Fort Mason Photographers group and have displayed work in many joint exhibitions.
